“The Pressure is On”-Elizabeth Austin is Featured in Tahoe Quarterly Article
Dr. Elizabeth Austin, CCM of WeatherExtreme Ltd. is featured in “The Pressure is On”, an article recently published in Tahoe Quarterly. The article details her work as chief meteorologist of the Perlan Project, where one of her key roles is finding optimal flying conditions for the glider. The Airbus Perlan Mission II glider has no engine and relies solely on wind power. The Project’s goals is to set a record-breaking, 90,000 foot flight into space.
This article, also, details her multiple roles-devoted mother, educator and mentor, author (Dr. Austin’s book “Treading On Thin Air” is set to be released winter, 2016) and, lastly, her quest to become a world-renowned meteorologist.
